Does anyone have info on T bucket that was on the TV show Shivaree in 1965. The episode was with the Safaris singing Hot Rod High. It had a 4 carb manifold. THX
Ironically I was looking thru some old car magazine's last weekend and ran across a picture of that car. It was in a mag called street rod pictorial dated 1969. The guy's name was Gary Naeve. Hope this will help ya.
Cool car, although I'm not keen on the front mags. Is it actually a 'T'? It looks quite a deep body for a '23, but not curvy enough for a '26-'27?
Not a "T"! My first inkling is it's a Dodge bucket, but it's a bit big for that, too. I'd guess something like Olds or Buick or way out like Oakland or some such. And, it's the front half of a touring too. I was going to reference the same pict that Mr. Mac posted from one of the Peterson Rod & Custom Year Books, but I have never seen a feature on this one that I can think of beyond this picture.
The bed looks wider than a T also, some hand fabbing maybe? Speaking of "shiverees" many years ago we had a local custom called a Shiveree! After a wedding dance, the guests would follow the newlyweds to where ever they were to spend their first married night together. There was usually much drinking, partying and hell raising. (beating on washtubs was one common trick) The object of this was to keep the newlyweds from ever getting to bed on the wedding night. I have heard of occasions where both sets of parents would take over the bedroom and not leave until time for church on Sunday morning. Funny **** that would get the cops called now days
Haha, the way things are today the Bride and Groom would have already been fooling around for a long time before the wedding, so wedding night would be just another night. Don
Would anyone have an idea of carbs and manifold ? Does anyone have hot rod deluxe 2012 or hot rod mag august 65 its mentioned in them.
