I am just starting on this project, been sitting in my barn for 27 years. I am going to make it safely move, and stop. Then go from there. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Here's some inspiration: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=865584 I just posted pic of my car a day ago asking our fellow HAMB'ers for some ideas. Good to see another Fleetline on here.
cool lights. they made those for 49 where they were like a part of the grille as well. very rare... not sure if they were GM parts or not.
Looks like a good start for a project. Good luck with it, lots of information on here about Chevy 6,s.
Good luck ! Neat cars...and they were so cool from the factory that it doesn't take much to make 'em great looking "driver's" ! Jonnie www.legend.thewwbc.net
Good luck with it. I'll keep my eye on this thread. I have a 47 Fleetline Bomb myself... They are Cool Rides and certainly get the looks cruising down the road
Love these!!! Looks like a solid one too! This is one car I have to have someday. I'd say that after 27 years in the barn, she's dying for some attention! Keep us posted.
cool project, you don't see too many of these, good luck with it. here's one I had a few years ago...
Great project, we started a chop on one years ago but then my son got distracted with another car and sold the fleetline.
Got it running today, with some help from my boy. Did some adjustments and runs good. Now it's time to make it stop! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Alaskan HAMB'er freezerburn has a great '48 Fleetline build-thread going on the 216 board. You can check it out HERE:http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?do=discuss&discussionid=38398
I will second that 'Mo. freezerburn's Fleetline is real nice. A lot better than the I picked up a couple of months ago. Winter has to end some time so I can work on the 47 fleetline.
