thanks trent. I'm getting pumped to get it off the table and back on the frame. I need to make a front bow the problem is it has to wide enough to fold and narrow enough to look good.
Cool, you are doing ALL the same repairs I did to my touring. Lots of work, I am facing more now on my tudor and this gives me ideas!
Very interesting and is there another thread for the build? Can't wait to see where you go with the T.
man I would love to build this **** all day long. I find it difficult to find the time. here is a link to my photobucket http://s41.photobucket.com/user/garetth123/library/?sort=2&page=1
I made it. fit perfect..... it took two attempts and some stress tipping the top flange as my bead roller is single speed, I have heard some negative reviews of the repop ones and this was a good experience.
spent some time on the windshield. and started to fit the top clamps which are too low in the stock position.
thanks . I think the windshield looks more airplane than boat with the trim all the way around. sometimes it looks too big but the top will cover the top 2".
shaped the post caps and sorted out the top studs ?. my fears came true with the front bow being too narrow for folding. with the mount so low on the body the bows do not stack well. can't shorten the main bow or they wont stack at all. might just have to settle for a removable top and be happy with the look.
ha. it just came to me in the shower. two mounting points will solve all my problems. one low ; one high (for folded). thanks
thanks guys . next step is to brace the 1/4 panels where the top mounts, rear seat area , fit the gas tank and center bulkhead. then I can take it off the table and put it on the frame . next weekend I hope.
added 1.75 " to the cab in the T and at the same time lowered and tipped back the bulkhead. make a huge difference in the seating area and I think it looks better too . a little less buggy and more hot rod.
