Technical flat head bell housing.

Is the 6 cylinder stamped bell housing the same as the 49-53 stamped housing..

The 6 cylinder stamped steel bell housing looks quite similar to an 8 cylinder but it's not interchangeable. The bolt pattern on the engine flange is not the same.
It would be hard to tell them apart if they weren't sitting next to each other.

I have flathead V8 housings/with shield-- if you need one

 

Bob i get the pictures fine. Just can not get any text..

 

There are small "bulls eyes" within little yellow squares on each white item number, and placing the cursor over the square will reveal text.
