I'll second Brootals comments on the power, I went for a run with Corey around the block and the power comes on real smooth, its great!!!!!!!

  3. Would dearly love to, but at the moment I have other priorities. Possibly in the future, but at the moment I'm thinking bigger and better and it don't involve a green roadster, maybe something with more seating capacity...
    Stay tuned...:D

    again thanks.

X38 there are a few sets around but not as many as the known brands.

As for the power, well as brootal said...

to be honest I didnt at first think that it had made such a big difference, I have always wound out the motor but now it feels much stronger, it doesnt feel quicker to me, more that instead of reaching a point where it seemed to flatten out when carbed, it now just keeps going, and I am aware that I need to back off or throw a leg out of bed.

but while I dont think its much quicker, carbed it went down the quarter at 17.2 and brootal says his did 14.4 and he did tell me that he was only catching me on the gear changes, so I am guessing its a few seconds quicker now.

but I know that the sound out of the pipes is reallllll nice:)

  9. That's the main thing I noticed. It's got the same POS 'water heater', but with that pump on it, it sounds so much tougher through the pipes.

We should've uncorked it one night and gone for a rap. :)

    Hey drewfus,

i would be interested to hear that clip too,

thanks everyone, as I said , it has been a dream. but now I can tinker to get it "right" I already have a few other small alterations planned , but they will happen over time.

I think I better get to building a top also psycho. winter in melbourne without a roof can sometimes be a drag.

  17. Kinda difficult to drive with a "Woody" ...!!! :D

  18. Yeah man I toally agree. we should finally spend a day just hitting it up and getting the frame sorted.

some guys asked about the pulley setup for the water pumps and tensioning it, I made AHHHMMM ( alternator) bracket that I use to tension it, mounts like an early 24 stud offset genny bracket, which is what I will eventually use when I get a genny on the motor.

see another thread about offset genny brackets , I posted on there how you can use the early brackets on 8BA motors.
