I love it! Looks like it's ready to go to work now.

 

Looks like it has quite a few holes poking through above the windshield, likely through the inner panel as well. May want to check it over pretty well in all the other rust trouble spots, before you get in too deep... They aren't that uncommon that a bit more for a more solid truck sitting in someone's machine shed would be money well spent.

 

This is the GM coe of that time period. commonly called a tilt cab in their advertizing.

I agree. Neat design of the truck with some potential, but that one is really rough, and these things are pretty cheap (at least around here) even when they're in great shape. I've passed on a few much, much nicer ones for under $1000 because there's just no market for them unless you want one for yourself.

That one is way beyond patina, it's rotten. If you can fix it, more power to ya, but I personally think it'd be time well spent to shop for a cleaner one.
