Hey! How many of you got hotrods and are still in school? Post some pics and show your stuff!!! I want to know how many of you are out there that are like me??? EDIT: Well Let's Just Include Everyone That's In Some Form Of School
Im stuck there for another year and a half, i got a '66 comet (pictures old but you get the idea) and a model a banger in the works.
Well I bought my car when I was 18 and now I'm in college so technically I'm still in school and if you count that I'm going to be a high school shop teacher when I graduate I'll be in school a long long time, guess I'm a sucker for punishment.
17 and still in school, albeit "alternative" (whatever that means) i drive my 50 ford tudor to and from every day. Still working on a 68 bonneville chopper, which im begining to doubt will every reach a rideable state. oh well.
Count me in! I have worked also but mainly studied about 7 yrs... Now in UW for a year and I'm 27 by the way so not in high school but... Cars: http://photobucket.com/albums/y108/Karimix/
Well, it aint a hot rod, and its not a custom yet, more of a project. But my 59 ford has been pretty good to me. Only left me stuck once so far. Hopefully Ill get the paint and interior done up before schools out this year. By then my engine will be almost shot so I can dump in a 351W or 5.0 HO (carb'ed) to replace that 302 2 barrel I have in there. Jake should chime in here sometime soon... And scripts, the photo doesnt work. What kind of car is it?
I just got out of school this past June, but my whole senior year I drove my '59 super stocker to school, open headers and all! -Dean
yeah ummm i get my license monday...i turn 17 monday my 50 will be my daily driver...and i dont plan on selling it EVER because everyone i talk to that's older regrets selling their car so i figure i would do the same...i dont know...eventually it will be black...yes shiny im not into the ratttttttttttt rodddddddddsssssss too much...
I'm 16 and own a 1929 Model A Tudor Sedan and I will be taking a huge load of photos of it when I mock up the 348 and the trans and put the boxing plates in it next month.Plans are to build it like it would have been built in the early sixties by a high school kid....Also, if you think a 348 was only affordable for the rich kids, I guess that's true for the most part unless you were able to nab one from behind the dealership before it were to get smashed
Im 17 and in my auto class (about 6 of us) We're building a 28 roadster pickup hiboy under 27 chev rails.
i turned 16 in august and i have a 67 nova that i am building right now. i know its not a hot rod, but i love 66-67 novas and have always wanted one.
did my '17 T in college, and still have my MG B GT from Highschool, daily driver on straight pipes. (i sold my '52 MG TD i also had in HS to pay for a wedding, that ended in divorce)
im a senior in high school and my current project is a '66 Valiant that im hoping to have finished by the end of the school year
Im 17 and am a sr. I have a 66 turbo stang that is nearly done which was my first car. I just got a 37 chev pick em up that im buiding rudy style. Will try to get some pics.
I'm 17 and just finished year 12 down hear in OZland get my p's in january but I've been driving my 1964 EH sedan every weekend since I got it last year chicks love old school
just a question supersized, where did you get that 50? i noticed that you live in Bloomfield. i used to live near that area. before we moved we had to sell my dad's 50. it was a tudor sedan just like yours. im just curious. since im older now im kind of on the hunt to try and find that car again. dont worry, im not askin you to sell your car. have fun with it. haha, i regret that my dad sold his.
this is my dads 23 T. he let me and Rockablilly Tim take on the last day of school last year. its funny, everybody made such a big deal about it, like they never saw a hotrod before. my school is out in the booneys, all we have are rednecks here. anyway, Tim is sittin in the the T with his little grad hat.
