I am building my first 390 Ford. I gathered up all my parts and I can't find the fuel pump eccentric that fits on the end of the cam to drive the fuel pump. Is the part the same as a 302/351? I have some lying around?
I believe the FE eccentric is thinner then the Windsor one. Meaning the Windsor eccentric may rub on the FE's timing cover. Can't you get a new eccentric at your local Napa / Auto Value / O'Reilly's, etc??? If not, here is a really expensive roller bearing one that will last for ever.... http://www.hipoparts.com/ford-roller-bearing-fuel-pump-eccentric-kit-w-arp-pro-series-bolt/
Holly shit!!! You need to ask around at any gathering of Ford guys. I bet there are plenty around locally for peanuts. Someone should shoot me if I ever paid that much for a fuel pump cam. If they are that much of an engine drag that they need bearings, buy an electric pump!!!
I thought the roller bearing one was rather hilarious too. Some of the aftermarket products that are out there just baffle me. Anything to separate a rube and his money....
The one piece fuel pump eccentric from Ford Motorsports is for a 460 but works fine for an FE, P/N M6287-C302. Listed application is for a 460 with 7/16-14 fastener.
You n find them on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Engine-Smal...Parts_Accessories&hash=item43c557aac1&vxp=mtr
