Hood I/D

Came across this old hood for a project ,Found the hood ornament / hood latch to be kind of unusual any idea what type of car / truck this is off of thanks

 

Sure looks like a '38 Ford hood, a side view would help confirm that. Bob

 

Thats it thanks Bob i did not realize the ornament was the hood latch

 

To me it looks like a 38-39 Lincoln Zephyr...

 

I agree...too long, both the hood itself and the latch/ornament, for Ford
