Does anyone know the history of this old custom 1940 Ford pickup, it appears to have been built in the early 1960's, it has a tilt front end and powered by a buick nailhead, it is from the North West.

There is an extended family of orchard owners in the Milton-Freewater Or area by the name on the trailer. That may be a clue as to what part of the PNW the truck is from.

I posted one of the photos on the PNW rods and customs FB page asking if anyone remembered it and some of those guys know every custom that was shown in the past 50+ years in the North West.

The rear end is very tastefully done.... Notice I didn't mention the front. VERY cool old truck!

  10. Frank Guise built it in Post Falls, ID in 1963. It went to Lewiston when Frank traded it for a 59 or 60 Impala in the late 60's. The guy you got it from bought it 10-15 years ago from the guy Frank traded it to.

BTW, I'm the one that turned you onto it on IG
