Hello everyone! Thank you for having me on this great site! I just purchased a 1948? DIVCO milk truck at the Kissimmee Mecum Auto Auction. The original engine/trans is rebuilt and shrink wrapped on a pallet. Presently it's powered by a 300HP Chevy 350 with an aluminum manifold, chrome valve covers and headers and S.S. exhaust. This truck was owned by Tom Petty previously. I'm hoping to learn more about DIVCOs through this forum and hope I can help many of you with anything I can.

I am from Bethlehem CT. I have been working on DIVCO's for quite a while. I am currently working on my 3rd one. I have a total of 3. Glad to see someone in our area is interested in DIVCO's. I would like to see your truck sometime. We belong to the DIVCO Club of America. I know a lot of people with parts and info and may be able to help you with your questions. Divcoguy

Thank you, divco guy! I look forward to seeing yours as well! There are a couple pieces I'm having a very hard time finding, perhaps you can help? I'm looking for the chrome grab handles by the doors as well as the little latch ting that the swivel rod thing (that holds down the hood). I know I'm being very technical here. lol It's for the passenger side hood, it's missing the forward one. Man, I hope that made sense to you 'cause I'm even having a hard time understanding it! One more thing, do you have any idea on how to upgrade to power brakes on these things? With the Master Cylinder being shaft mounted, I can't find any info on a possible upgrade. It takes 2 men and a small boy to stop this tank!
