I bought a wolf whistle a while back and it worked fine. I disregarded (like a dumb***) what the directions said about cleaning it and now its gunked full of **** and grease and wont work. I have no idea how to go about cleaning the thing up, any tips on bringing it back to its former glory???

If its the current model sold by Speedway you can try shooting WD 40 with it in the whistle position and if that fails you remove the inside snap ring and take the br*** fixture out and clean and reinstall. Easy job.

WD 40 works thats what i used.

  5. Since they **** they attract all kind of stuff. If WD40 doesn't work you can take the "motor" out and get a new one fromm Speedway. The threads are fine and easliy stripped, you may have to just buy another one.

Mine has an internal snap ring down inside the horn. It's an old flea market find, but removing the snap ring and the 2 discs for cleaning restored the sounds. Once you have removed the gunk, then a little penetrating oil will keep it whistling just fine.

I just bought one and i'll type what they say to clean...WITH A SCREWDRIVER, UNSCREW ROTOR FROM THE BELL OF THE WHISTLE. SOAK THE ROTOR IN GASOLINE. RINSE OUT AND ALLOW THE ROTOR TO DRY FOR A FEW HOURS. SOAK THE ROTOR IN A LIGHT SEWING MACHINE OIL FOR A FEW HOURS. REMOVE THE ROTOR AND ALLOW ALL EXCESS OIL TO DRAIN OFF. NEXT , USING AN AIR NOZZLE OR TIRE PUMP, BLOW OFF ALL EXCESS OIL. BE SURE TO REINSTALL THE ROTOR WITH THE 5 HOLES FACING OUT OF THE WHISTLE........... Ihope this helps.
