Damn! The "Ford Whisperer" strikes again! Nice find Chris. Keep it a original as possible. You're preserving history.

That's the idea! Big/Little's dropped axle, reversed front spring, T-rear spring sort out the mechanical/electrical stuff and you're good to go!

I could not get it ***led and registered in WA state. Even with the same owner from the 60's, plates, registration and renewal slip...just no ***le. It was long gone from the WA State data-base, they wanted it inspected and put on a 3 year bonded ***le. I got fed up and sold it to a guy in S. Idaho.

Very Nice! Reminds me of one I brought home and built in the 70's called "Mr. Maroon" from the 50's First shot from the Hartford Autorama in the 50's Then my frame build and after doing it Maroon and driving it for over 10 years I redid it Black and chopped it. It did not look like the first photo when I found it in a barn:rolleyes: But it did have white rolled and pleated interior running board covers and even steering wheel cover.

    Chris,
Next time you get fed up with A find as cool as this, I am your Guy!!....Call me day or night! Don't be afraid to wake me up, I will hook up the trailer and head that way....LOL. I understand all too well about the *******s at the DMV, They do not know their *** from a hole in the ground when it comes to these old cars So they Make life tough when it comes to getting our cars legal.

Yeah, a guy on here approached me about it. I was just gonna sit on it and figure something out, but this hamber called me asking about the sedan I have and if I would sell it. I told him my ***le woos and he seemed to think it was no problem for him in ID. He was there the next day with a trailer and cash! It's a neat car, I just love old survivors like this one!

Thanks for the update. I love peoples stories of finding, or just looking, for cars. I spent a bunch of time cruising back roads w my uncles or Dad near Spokane, looking for old cars (or old guitars, banjos, b***es). Approaching old timers, farmers, town drunks etc. Always interesting. We would get lots of stories about how BAD (rude, pushy, shifty) other guys could be trying to "score" a deal. The best part of searching was hearing the stories of how the car and ower's lives were woven together. On this island everything is squirreled away out of the volcanic acid rain, jungle rot and salt spray... but still out there somewhere.

Cowtown Speed Shop: ^^^^^ Kansas has to be the worst. I sold my original stock Olds 88 to a guy in Kansas with a notorized bill of sale, The Ct DMV forms, etc. He called me stating his Kansas DMV office would not register the car as both the A-pillar vin tag and cowl tag were riveted- They insisted they should be bolted on. How dumb can they be ?
