Technical cadillac 331 bellhousing what trans fit

i found a bellhusing to a 331 cadillac without trans what will fit here and is there any adaptor.complete with flywheel and clutch

 

Are you sure it's a standard transmission bell housing? The hydramatics of that time had a detatchable bell that might be mistaken for one for a manual transmission. If it is a manual housing, it will work with transmissions from '37-'53 Cadillac, '37-'40 LaSalle, and '50 Oldsmobile V8 cars. With the '37 floor shift transmission, a hole would have to be drilled in it for the sliding shaft that comes out the front of the p***enger side front.

bellhusing came complete with trans but trans was sold.sorry no pictures.i have 2 hydromatic bellhusing this is standard trans

 

If it's a cast iron factory bell, it will fit the transmissions I listed in my previous post.

 

This is a 50 Olds bell, 51 looks similar but is different.
