Don't ever, ever, ever create a facebook group for your club. It seems like a good idea to keep in touch at first... but it's trouble. Keep group conversations or votes about things to once a month at the meetings, when people are face to face. Facebook is a sure fire way to sabotage your club... or any relationship for that matter.
We have a members only page where we discuss all business and a public page where we post where we will be and what is going on and keeping in contact with other clubs etc....
what is your "the creator" motivation for starting a club? same for others that have shown an interest? formal, with officers and all that, or casual? allow ladies to be members? remember, creating a logo, having plaques /jackets/shirts/etc can be very expensive especially the initial start up. maybe start out by setting up a breakfast get-together and have a open discussion about all of this. yes, no matter how big a club is only a few will volunteer on a regular basis to do most of the work. it can be fun or a big headache.
