WOW! Crager SS reflecting Bud Light...Very nice touch! LOL!

  2. Early 70's I worked in a sketchy (at the time) part of Detroit and drove a 66 Pontiac 2+2 with Cragar S/S wheels. Found out that the stock 66 Pontiac wheel covers would fit over them making it a little less of a steal me first car.

Friday night drill, open trunk, remove tire iron, remove wheel covers.

Sunday night drill, open trunk, remove wheel covers, install.

    Repeat as necessary.

I'm looking to put some cragars on my 64 bel air and found a fairly cheap set (400$) of 15's. Now I'm going for that traditional lowrider look, do you think these would look too big? Should I wait and look for some 14's?

I just found a set of old15x4 ( they may be 3.5 wide I will measure to make sure I think they are stamped for racing only on the back) SS big ford bolt pattern 5 on 5 1/2 With caps and lugs chrome in decent shape for a driver, typical pits in lug valley area, if anybody is interested hit me up. I will post up pics if anybody wants to see them.

Pretty sure all the old ones did, I know mine do. I (and tons of other guys) run them on the street with no problems. Looking cool is much more important than safety anyway.

Had a pristine set of 15X4s & 15X8s, sold to a buddy for his dune buggy many moons ago for $100. The fronts even came with a set of Moroso front runners. :(

Can't post the ones I have cause they're now on my 70 Chevelle with Ansen Sprints in the back, but they're 4" width that came off my race cars in the late 60's and I've been running them on various cars since I got them in 67. Here's my buddy Paul's set on his Rusty Bucket tho! Grin...

Does anyone know what the backspacing on a 15x6 wheel would have been originally in the 60's? Did they offer different backspacing? I am getting ready to order a set for my '54 and I don't want wheel center pushed into center?

What they offer now is 3-3/8" back space. @Muttley those look so awesome. I want mine to look like them?
