Hello everyone...Just an old hot rodder getting ready for retirement. Been roddin since rat rods were beaters and gas was 36 cents a gallon. I love em all...Rods, Restos, Kustoms, Muscle, Rats. I even have a Scout diesel for diversity. Planning to finally finish my Deuce HiBoy after 30 years of "not enough time" and a few other projects. Taking the chopped Chebby Truck to Austin in a couple weeks but goin through Memphis and New Orleans on the way. Hoping to get active and have some more fun with cars. Later...
Is your Scout diesel a factory engine? I worked the Scout line for a number of years, we ran some with the Nissan marine engines, they were discontinued, just didn't have the power.
Yep...That's the one. And you're right. It'll go anywhere...just not very fast. I've done some things to it to help but it's still a slug. Good thing I ain't in a hurry anymore. I read once where they were so hard to sell they started giving them away with an IH combine purchase. I've always been attracted to the oddball stuff.
