Thinking about using the old blower I scored on a 428 50 f1 project??
I`d have to make a custom bracket and tensioner but would be cool?
    What do you think?

Might not make much boost on an engine that big, eh?

probably not a good idea. Those blowers were set up for a 312 or 289 Ford, or the equivalent Studebaker engines as far as I know. A 428 is about 30% bigger, so the match would be poor.

Overdriving doesn't work because the efficiency will drop way off, plus the overspeed will kill the unit.

    Yes, it would be cool

No, it wouldn't make much boost.

Maybe, pass it on to a Studebaker guy, like me ;>)

Well it would not be a racing app. mostly just for the hell of it so I would not expect huge performance I`d be happy with just a bit as the truck will have plenty of power as it is.

They were introduced in 1953 and they were meant for engines under 300 cu in. Even then, they only put out 4 or 5 PSI.

You would need 2 of them to get any boost on a 428. Or one of the big brother Novi 2000 series.

Big inch ford fe's love air and fuel...lots of air and fuel. While that blower would look awesome it just isn't gonna produce enough juice to make it worth it.

  8. It'd probably be more effectively to drive hot air thru your heater.

Ha ha ha McCulloch made a version for aircraft, to pressurize the passenger compartment of a small airliner.
