I'm still new but this is some funny shit. I have been reading through this whole damn poast. All three pages plus one post. And laughing my ass off the entire time. Thanks everyone for making me smile today.

And to da9 thank you for sacrificing yourself all in the name of making me laugh.

thanks, i dont really care what everyone here thinks of me, they either hate me or like me or whatever, but i know that I am a true carguy no matter what i drive. i just dont see why all people who enjoy cars no matter the brand or the style cant get along, they are just cars and some should just be glad that people are still into cars modifying and doing thier own little things to them(no matter what the style of it is) like they were way back in the day.

Hey man, car guys are car guys, its all good.

There are things your cars and my '03 RSX-S can do that old "TRAD" cars cant...

    AND vice versa...

but this board is for the trad stuff, just leave it at that.

I'm unemployed and nearly broke, but I'm building a sub-$1000 T-bucket (can you say 4-wheeled chopper?) because NO engine sounds better than a wound out 302/5.0.

You can learn a lot here, trust me, just dont piss people off.

And be careful not to talk shit, cause you might not want to find out how big some people are in person. :D

    exactly what i was thinking

that old 54ford on the first page that i have been fortunate enough to work on has a 5.0 dropped into it and it sounds pretty darn good, loud enough the machine shop guys(shop next to ours) had to close their door when we fired it up for the first time.

going back reading everyones replys, some of them are quite funny

    i like this guy already
this guy is i dunno because i never trashed on the rods, i said i have always like them and plan to own one shortly, but my car is none of that, and i actually hate that movie but whatever i guess
fur biscuit is def. cool in my book
as well as this guy is cool
    repoguy seems cool as well
i have no clue where this came from, my teacher is a very knowledgable person who has built to many cars to even count(some of the iowa members on here have probably meet him or even had him do work for them)

and thanks to everyone here that did actually give me a welcome and to those that answered my original question, i just wanted to learn more about that unusual car. but i do plan on staying around because it seems this forum is full of great info and can be fun at times. i am really liking the art section some of you guys and gals have some great talent.

uhhh... lemme rephrase that to, "302/5.0 sounds better than any motor the common working schlub has a chance to score."

Howzat? :D Coming from a historically Chevy guy to boot!

I'll even go as far as saying that my ricer k20 motor sounds like a meth-ed out Eureka Upright... annnnnd thats not much of a compliment.

What a bunch of pricks. He didn't come on here to talk about his Acuras...he was asked, by the same pricks that chastized him. If someone hadn't figured out what his member name refered to, none of the same pricks would be slammin him to change it. Not that it really matters, but at least da9's using his imports to do something cool (AutoX...don't know what it is, Google it before assuming) rather than contributing to all the street-bs. It's like people are just staring at their constantly-refreshed hamb-homepage, waiting for fresh meat to jump on. This kid's got some gravel packed in his scrotum and throughout his hazing, has not only kept his cool, but has remained more mature than most.

    Welcome

  19. at the risk of taking shit i ahve to say this young buck has my vote, I don't live in the land of milk and honey and I didn't grow up with a rod in the garage. He has held his own in the snake pit and took his shit (as all young rodders should) and I have to say did better than I did with my early posts. and I have to say aswell the east german estate (yeah estate not station wagon, I could have said shooting brake but bollocks they are all the same) would be well cool on the floor with astros and red bands, or even painted steelies and black walls........not as cool as a highboy or lowboy or even a gow job but cool in a european way (thats well cool then!!) ............
ready to take shit.... getting my coat..... going out the door................... ..............................................................................

As in "I burned up my CRX, I learned my lesson, no more beater Hondas!"

    :D
Then I went and bought a new one...

I'm backing the dude up, and AUTO-X stands for autocross, actual racing against the clock on a flat course in between cones. Its more fun and takes more skill than drag racing for the average joe, IMHO (ok, well, maybe, I think that would change if i had an 11 second or faster car!)

Let alone WAY the fuck more fun than adjusting your jeans cuffs in a burger joint parking lot....

I still think organizied "drifting" sounds gay tho... any moron in a front-wheel drive can pull their e-brake, crank the wheel and gun the gas... but thats another argument for a different day...

Ya know this has been a pretty fuggin' funny thread. It always cracks me up to see people get bashed here at the mere mention of anything foreign or modern. I'd love to see just how many people that have ragged on such cars actually *do not* own one or never drive one for convenience now and then.

After all, this is a traditional hot rodding and kustom board. Therefore, we must all own/drive/talk nothing but. Right??? To be any other way would just be blasphemous and if you do, may the pant cuff gods strike you down and expose you for the poser you really are.

For real, kudos to ya for havin' the maturity to handle what the fucktard asshats have said about how you've joined the hamb. Sounds like ya got a good grasp on people having assholes...oops I mean opinions! There's a lot of real good folks here...and the shit talkers inevitably out themselves.

    Welcome.

Hahaha yeah first name Chris...but there's a friggin' million Chris' out there so I rarely use it online. Don't think I have any Iowa relation...90% of my family hails from Michigan.

i thought drifting involved rearwheel drive cars? hence mustangs, skylines, etc...

now driving around mcDonalds with the ebrake locked on with the rear tires up on Mcdonalds trays is done with wrong wheel drive...go straight then try and turn...

yup thats classic, i work at a Kum&go graveyard shift and next door is MickyD's so i getta see that crap all the time, pretty funny stuff, but yeah TRUE drifting is with RWD vehicles

i dont have any family in the Michigan area so i guess that rules that out, still cool to see another Olson, usually its a Olsen(which everyone spells my name even though it isnt).

    Welcome.

You should change your name to Goliath. That way no one would really know how big you are..... and it keeps the big mouths quiet.

After getting bored with the normal newbie ricer bashing. I scanned the other replied and noticed that the ricer kid is the only one that posted something of interest.................
