I know the feeling, mine theoretically shouldn't be here. The front clip, doors, and half of a quater panel had all been replaced when I got it back in the '80s. Probably pulled from a junkyard for use as a drag car, evidence being holes cut in the frame for ladder bars. I also had to replace floor pans, but I wouldn't trade her for a cherry, we've been through too much together over the years. Ah, first love! Ain't it grand!

A favorite final step, once you get the trim back on you will probably wonder why you hadnt done it sooner.
The trim brings on a big transformation.

  28. I grew up in the 60/70's and tri fives had a nice ride stance to them back then now everything is slammed on the ground, Just wondering if you guys are all afraid of falling out of them when you open the door. If it is not a g***er then it don't have a nice ride stance. Seem to me if you want them on the ground maybe you should be building a custom or a low rider. Just some food for thought. Is this just a fad or is that all a guy is going to get to look at for the rest of life. Seems it kinda like all of those stupid paint scheme that came out in the 80's, where their paint everything including all of the chrome. :(:eek::oops::rolleyes:
