Well, I don't post much here, I just look at pictures and read mostly, but I have been having some family problems latley and decided to mess up my buick wagon!!

It is a 1956 Wagon, I got it from the second owner about 7 years ago, and I am only 19, you do the math! Law Mowers do make money!! This car has been alot of fun, but it is time for a change

Anyways, The car looks good in pictures, but once I started Sanding her down I found a lot of filler and some rust problems, so I fixed most of it, and now am almost ready for primer, in the meantime of fixing bondo patches, I shaved the door handles, locks, some side emblems, and the hood is in anitoch and Lucky 7 Customs getting filled and peaked done by Marcos!!

Just wanted to share some pictures...and if anyone can, please photoshop it with some ideas for paint, I want to leave the light blue the same but maybe go with a dark blue where the white is! I want the car to look different, different paint scheme, color combo, but it has to still have some blue!!

    Enjoy

Dont mind the ***le of the thread, I just notice I spelled BUICK wrong!!

Well thank you, alot of people have given me **** because I "ruined" such a nice car! although these are the people that don't realize that some people paint cars to cover up ****ty work!! and I knew my wagon had some ****ty body work done just looking at it!!

    Good luck with your wagon!

Nice wagon and you're doing it right. I've always been a wagon fan. Who belongs to the '57 Ranchero? That looks sweet too. I love those, I used to have a '58.

The Ranchero was My brothers, then I bought it, and I sold it to a guy in Spain, the chop was a first timers job from what I was told, so it needed alot of work, the car was also a bondo bucket, slammed the door one day and a pound of bondo fell out of it and the rocker!!

    Fun car though!

Awesome Buick wagon but if you post any buick up to the sixties ones I'll say I love it. I've had a hankerin for a wagon for some time hope to one day fiind a 57 Buick wagon.
Did you ever see that Black 56 Buick hardtop in custom rodder I think a coouple years back. Had shannon cones on it. I was just picturing your wagon with em on it. Sitting a bit lower. Looks good the way it is but thought I'd just throw that out there. A little food for thought.

    I like it, alot!!

What mag is that, and what issue?? I might try and ifnd a back issue to get some ideas from it!

    Thanks...

Also, That is what I am planning wheel wise, I don't know why the car looks like it is sitting so high, but it is pretty low already, 4 1/2 inches lower all around, and the rearend sags a little more..maybe it is because all that big heavy chrome is off of it for now!!

It could be the picture, and no it doesnt have the lever shocks anymore.

Also, on the black buick, that is what I want to do motor wise in this car, with a decent ****** and rearend so I can drive the hell out of it!

The ****** went out about 2 months ago, so I am wondering what I need to do now, I can get a ****** for it for $300 and have it rebuilt, or should I just hold off for a while and put a big buick in it with a strong ****** and new rearend? or just rebuild the other powerglide and call it good for a couple more years!!

I know in my 59 you can change out the center section of the rear end with a 62 full size Buick one to convert it to open drive. Not sure if it would work with the 56. I believe zman did it to his 57. But the 364 are interchangable with the 401/425. Find a 65-66 nailhead with a sp400 or switch with an adapter to a cheaper ****** to work with. In that black 56 hes using a 700r4.

Check out the nailhead chat group on the yahoo groups or there is v8Buick.com those guys will know what to do to keep it Buick.
    Good Luck
    I wouldnt rebuild the dynaslow
I have $1200 in mine and wish I had converted when the problem arose.

I like the blue and white color combo that's on the car now. Is the interior good, and if so, does it go with the colors that are on the car now? If the interior is good and the colors match up and you're going to keep it for awhile, I'd consider leaving the color combo alone. Wagons are cool, and handy. Good luck with the project.
