Hi I am new to this site and have finally decided to join . I have watched and learned much. Like many car guys I grew up building model kits and reading as many magazines as I could afford. I lived near westhampton drag strip and spent many sundays there in the early to mid sixties. After new york national opened I was there quite a bit also. I wish I had taken pictures of some of the cars that were standouts.
Welcome from CT. My older brothers used to take me to West Hampton. We lived in Brooklyn at that time. Its a shame Long Island had two Drag Strips back then and now all the racer have to tow to NJ or Lebanon NY
