Just picked this up about 2 months ago... I thinkl , any how, future plans include tri-powered 348, 5 spd, and polish the hell out of the stainless frame I'm building..4" Z up front, 12" in the rear,4" dropped axle, and the chop is undecided as to how much.. what do yall think? Robs Snot Rocket OSR#6?(I think) was my inspiration..kinda Actually Rod and Kulture
Welp, since I have been building lots of ground support equip at our shop, I just added a couple of sticks, and a plate to the order (to get the tax break, its expensive enough) but i wanted to be a lil different,it should be pretty *****in though.
Me neither. I'll be curious to see how it turns out and how well it handles stress being driven. It would certainly save you some black paint over the years.
My curiosity is peaked as well! I have always wanted to do/see a full polished stainless frame. Prohibitively expensive, as the OP pointed out...
Everett-Morrison Cobra kit car ch***is are stainless and very strong, I fixed a wrecked one once, the car took a helluva a hit and the frame was still straight. It has been done.
I will follow this build for sure. For inspiration if you havent see it check out Langys build with stainless frame.
I hadn't seen that one, its kool I should have bought the polished sticks, lol, that would have made my job easier
Well, thats just the way it worked out with the 5 speed, I kinda needed it square to rest my foot on, and thanks
I'm digging this Sport Coupe. It is going to really stand out. Are you going to run totally ******* or put something on there in case it rains?
Thanks Pat, eventually I will build either a Carson type top, or a drop top.. But only after I spend my money on the 348 I am building for it to replace the sbc. Unless I get a couple of wildhairs , I never know what I'm doing until I'm doing it
