In 1973 my grandmother tried to GIVE me her pristine 66 with 210K on the clock and a cooked ******. No! I wanted impact colors and big blocks (I was 17) Can you imagine a warmed over Kelvinator 390/401 in that thing! It only weighed 2650# (only option was the AM radio) I know that 'cause we ran it over the scales at the s**** metal yard. STUPID! STUPID!

Yep, all those buildings in the picture are still there. The first one, "P.L. Vail" is one that my wife and I tried to purchase about a year ago. We had planned to build out the 2nd floor as an apartment, live in it, and open a book store on the first floor. Things didn't pan out for that though, and we were really bummed over it. I was really looking forward in restoring it as it was back in the day. But, we had to move on.

One of the greatest shot in drag racing. I sure do miss those days.

  22. There's a body style you don't see every day. Appears to be a s.w. variation on a 52 Chevy sedan delivery.

Anybody familiar with what the little hatch behind the drivers door on this Packard might be?

...don't know if this was shot at the same time as the other, background is different, but cool just the same...
