My big expenditure for last weekend was a 1965 edition of a popular Mail-Order parts catalog that I picked-up for 70 cents! It has a lot of the "cool stuff" we can remember from the 50s and 60s - I scanned one item to make the new "avatar" you should see on this posting! When I get a chance I will post some more items - you old Ford guys will go nuts over the price and availability of A and T parts in '65!
Old JC Whitney cats. are great too. Trans adapters, manifolds even ****ter shields. A lot of fun to see the old stuff as originally presented.
I've got an old catalog too, there are some scans at http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67634 I love these things. You got yours at a great price!
The scan of the ad for all those "Car Club Plaques" as well as a few others can be seen at: http://mrmap.freeservers.com/custom2.html More to come... BTW, Mr. P., I like the big Poncho in your avatar - and, as one of the other respondents to my post suggested, the catalog includes a whole raft of engine-to-transmission adapters for every imaginable swap! Gotta scan that one too...
