A picture of Jon leaving Groveland Ma. It was an honor go meet you. Hope your trip goes trouble free. Good luck brother!

Had I been more cautious I'd have fewer scars and a lot fewer memories. Live life to the fullest, you only go around once. What's a few repair bills along the way?

Jon got lucky( or whatever) and met up with my buddy Chris(fxstc127ci) who got the shoebox into his garage for a go-through for the BIG ADVENTURE. I was hopeing to meet Jon before he blasted off, but he escaped and started the adventure of a lifetime.Up to Chi-town, then down Rt. 66 to Viva Las Vegas. That is totally over the friggin' top. I commend his approach and execution-don't worry about nuthin'!I hope he has a great trip, and maybe I'll meet him in the future.Best of luck Jon!! Mike

thinking of might starting another tread on the tripp since this one's headline is pretty misleading now and could be hard to find, any opinions on that?
thinking it might get me a better chance to get in touch with other from the forum that maybe got tips for the trip or maybe going the same way too.
also would be cool to meet others from the forum and seeing there rides.

You can start another thread but link back to this one in the first post. I forget if you can change the thread title or not after the fact, that might be another way to go.

I'm immensely impressed by your can-do attitude and wish you luck. Definitely something I would be too chicken to try.

  11. Definitely following your thread. If you are coming through Denver, CO let me know. Would love to meet you and see your car. Safe travels my friend.

  17. This thread is a year and a half old.
I think he figured out what to do with the car, storage and registration issues.

He's a happy tourist now stylin' in the shoebox.
    Great adventure.

Just don't drive through Florida. Statistics say 80% of breakdowns happen there. Automotive and otherwise.
