Greetings from Missouri! I bought a 1950 Chevy Styleline Deluxe a couple years ago and am getting ready to make it road worthy again. It's pretty much a complete restoration. Have plans to lower and chop it. Right now it has the original 6cyl under the hood and we have worked a couple days on trying to get it running. Not sure if I want to keep the original motor in it or put my 454 in it... Glad to be among folks that know cars!!!
Everyone, meet Betty! She's bare bones on the inside! Needs new floor boards installed due to rust and a little patching here and there.

Welcome from Kansas City. Personally if you are just wanting a cruiser I'd go with a SBC, those BBC's are freak'n heavy (we have one in the '31), BBC's a cool but under the hood and out of sight I'd go smaller and more practical. Then again, it depends on what you want to do with it.
