Hot Rods '53 Chevy steering wheel fit '68 column?

Anybody know if a wheel off a 1953 chev car will fit on a column out of a 1968 Chevy pickup? I don't have the column close at hand or I'd just try to slip this ****er on there. Thanks - Greg
