Hot Rods Stafford Springs Swap Meet this weekend, who is going?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by BOSTONCAMARO, Apr 4, 2014.

  1. Anyone going for the abuse? I will be there, as much as I hate it at times, I do also enjoy it. Weather is suppose to be good.

Wasn't sure if this was right place to post....

Sheetrock my Grandson's basement playroom or look at broken snowmobiles, lawnmowers and inhale all that bondfire smoke, tough desission. Bob

My son and a friend spent most all day loading two trucks with big trailers here. I had them load a lifetimes worth of my random crap, plus their stuff...but I did not bother sending any old speed parts or old hotrod stuff.

It just does not sell well anymore, and most people aren't building stuff like that these days. Heck, most people are not building anything these days. .....And in a poor economy and a dwindling ebay audience, the dealers are not buying your parts for resale.

    Life changed....

Stafford is our twice a year shop clean out. WE have a pretty good amount of stuff this year. Some 57-60 F100 stuff, 64-66 C10, Datsun Z car, Coke Machine, couple 9"s etc...

Drove an hour and a 1/2 to get there, walked the whole thing, left without buying anything. Lots of 4 wheel drive stuff, tires, Chinese tools, chain saws etc, Saw some
on topic stuff, but nothing I needed or could afford. Beautiful day for it though it was
chilly enough I did not blame all the guys burning wood, just wish they would leave the pressure treated home!

Killed the day there and did see some early parts. Bought a few small things and spent time with some friends.:D Had plenty of laughs and did some much needed walking. Better than staying in the house doing nothing. I wonder what the car looked like that this 32 grill shell came off of:eek:

Got a late start, my uncle and I went and brought a friend that had never been to a big meet. I left with a decent model a radiator, just need to trade it for an earlier one now.

I sold about $350 worth of my personal stuff. I was practically giving stuff away for christsakes! Brought a nice 9" out of a 59 Ford p/u couldn't move it at $150!? The shop did well, we sold a lot of stuff that's been in the trailer for awhile. I bought theses :) ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1396872745.839992.jpg
