Nice runs! You know, this thread makes me smile every time I check on it. The fun you guys are having easily translates through the thread. Nice work on the blower addition.

  6. Thanks for the comments Dave, and yes Eagle Field is the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Reminds me of my childhood and Half Moon Bay in the late 50's early 60's brings back teenage memories that I wished I had ie: no money to build something like this. It sure is fun to think of a 86 year old and a 69 year old pushing their flatheads down the strip, who wouda figured?................:D:D:D

Looks like you did the old standby of cutting a hole in the nail to let the blood out trick.

  27. Well it has been a real busy week, got the trans pulled apart and the new case installed with new valve body and now she is working like she is supposed to, man what a relief. Crew chief 'Jack" (my brother in law ) came up and helped me this week and that is always a relief, to have someone to yell at and bounce off ideas with! we started the week off by removing the engine and trans and Jack spotted something that gave us great concern. The through bolt on my sheeve was damn near worn through, they were 4000lb Harbor Freight units I came real close to wearing the whole enchilada took a couple hours to repair the unit with bronze bushings and 7/16 through bolts instead of 3/8.....greased up everything and will remind self to check each year for wear!!! too close for comfort!

got the new Roll bar tacked up and had my buddy Ron do the final welding damn it looks good.......

Looking good Carl. Did you really make it through the week without rearranging any body bits and pieces? Still have all your skin intact? Lately I haven't made it through a week without bleeding on something and I haven't even been working on anything. :p

  29. Na Tom we can't make it through a week without something..... second day in tweaked my back, pulled a muscle removing torque converter nuts and then ya know everytime you go to pick up something its shit all over again, lots of Ben Gay and smelling up the garage....... but no trips to the doctor so that's a plus!!!
Of course its always a plus when welding to see if the metal is still hot, that's what fingers and ice are for...............
