thanks for the positive comments . I am stuck far from my shop so I thought why not post some pics. this build has been going on for a few years . I am using this for practice as I have a few gems tucked away.

 

I need a rear window for a convertible . please pm me if you can help.


also ....do I need special bolts to mount my torque converter . ....68 C4?

 

I like dropping the top frame to "chop" it. I wonder, how much did you drop it? I figured I'd drop mine 5" or so, but I'm guessing that wouldn't be enough.

 

11 1/2 " from the stock mount straight down to the rear fender bolt hole. I am going to cut the bows to mount it just above the fender line so if I ever drive it I can get insurance with fenders.

thanks captain. this is mostly first time stuff for me . self taught with internet info .

 

got the body back on the frame today . still trying to figure outa gas tank that wont eat up all the room in the back

had my roadster body on my touring frame so once it was in the shop I did some rearranging . also braced the center bulkhead. put the engine and column in . getting there

Cool family cruiser !!!

 

A factory converter should have studs on it. The proper nuts to secure it to the flexplate are flanged, distorted thread lock nuts.

thanks . I had since checked the converter and all the bits are there . you are right , studs w/nuts. I am going to need some more advice when it comes time for the p***ing gear hook up.
