Never been to this event before. Glasshole and I did a bonzai run up there, late Thursday night. Had to hook up with a guy, from Illinois, whom was nice enough to bring me the interior I bought, for the 98 project. We got there early and just about walked the entire show field. By 5pm, our 2hrs of sleep were catching up to us, so made a hasty retreat, for beers and food. Interesting array of cars and parts. Was comparing to our own Turkey Rod Run, at Daytona Speedway. Nice that cars are spread out across the track although made for extensive walking. Amazing how many people were riding electric scooters. Some with NO walking impairments. JT
A few more. Chip Foose "Hemi-sphere" is truly an amazing work of craftsmanship, weather it's your cup of tea or not.
It was a great show... I got alot of parts for customers projects... Not enough time to find stuff for myself though... sad day. lol
Lazy people may not realize that if they stop walking it will get to where they cannot walk anymore. I am sure a lot of those folks needed the scooter because of age, health or being a fat ass but they will become more unhealthy if they stop walking...now off of my soapbox..
yep, we were set up right behind those 2 pick ups and helped 32 push his new project up on the trailer and talked for a few. seemed like good people to me....ken...
i came back with a sunburn on top of a sunburn on top of a sunburn and more money left my wallet than came into it. but i came home with new floors and cab mounts for the big window unibody. i guess i can't complain to much about not selling much. coulda been worse. a guy bought a set of camaro buckets 2 spots over from us for $350(i thought they were overpriced). about an hour later he comes back by. apparently after paying the guy for the buckets and carrying them to the truck he dropped the bank envelope that still had a coupla grand in it....ouch.....ken....
sat right behind that truck all 3 days! After about 300 people asked how much I wanted for it...I could have made some cash haha.. Thanks the HAMP and EMS for the spots, had a great time and meant some cool people Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
