  7. I had one of these once. A tip about the tail light lenses if you go back with stock: All left and right are the same and all 1949 through 1951 are the same.

Excellent work, that's some impressive metal repair. Glad to see you have the drive to save another classic that someone else wrote off as dead. :D

    Mirko,
That engine looks to be the 1963 or newer 390/429 style. Interested in seeing how close that cd-694 manifold comes to fitting the newer heads. I've never held an 49-62 manifold up to a 63 and newer engine. Good luck. Car looks incredible so far

Most impressive, and inspirational. Would like to learn your technique of forming metal, and welding long flat seams without warpage. If you could include more detail photos.

I live in Canada, home of rusty old cars, and I would be afraid to attempt that car.

Do you know the history of the car?

    Great project, Mirko!

Can't wait to see how you treat the trunk contour and the finished line of the side windows. Especially the rear corner of the quarter windows.

    Marcello is quite a craftsman!

Amazing work you guys are doing too the caddy, top stuff.
when you are making too making the bottom front sections of the rear fenders I would be interested in buying a left and right pair for my 49 Buick sedanette, it looks like you have the same problem as mine.
    Cheers Darren

Check out my 49 Buick sedanette build
