Does anybody know if my drop spindles and 6 lug discuss will fit on the 63-66 control arms? I already bought a nice bolt on kit that works well. But I hate those torsion bars. One of them is tweaked keeping me from lowering truck a couple inches. It hangs below frame and drags on every Dam thing on these Oklahoma roads. So I'm thinking about swapping the front cross member for the later one . Wondering if there are anything that won't let that happen? Also will allow me to run exhaust easier Thanks as always

I don't think you can as the whole setup is so different between those year breaks. As for swapping on a later crossmember, the '60-'62 frames are narrower so you have to use spacers between the frame and the vertical part of the crossmember. Outside of that and drilling a number of new wholes, it basically fits. Not sure about the steering box though. I think it works with the crossmember swap but don't know 100%. You need to use the spindles for the right year break though, so your '60-'62 can't be used if you swap to later setup.

After doing some reading, I see that the hubs off later models will fit the 62 spindles. That gets rid of the ball bearing wheels bearings. Just makes me think that they can't be to different. Maybe the reem size is different. Wish I had both sitting side by side to measure. I've heard of people using the control arms for bag applications on the later crossmember. What I might end up doing is putting coil overs on front. Would have to fabricate everything but would work. I seen one done that way.
