This coming Sunday, EMMR (Eastern Museum of Motor Racing) WWW.EMMR.ORG will be hosting a roundtable discussion on Bonneville and Landspeed racing. The Museum hosts discussion once a month showcasing different forms of racing including sprint cars, drag cars, motorcycles and now LandSpeed has its turn. We will have several Landspeed cars on display, including a Modified sports Corvette, a belly tanker and a Ford roadster. The discussion will include questions and answers, videos and photos. If you live near Harrisburg, Pa. please come and join us around noon on Sunday the 13th of April. If you would like to bring a LandSpeed car or Bike, please contact me at Gray63@comcast.net. Dave
Hi Dave I have a suggestion for Sunday if anyone asks what SCTA stands for here's one definition Senior Citizens Timing ***ociation. Seems we had to have gray hair before we got into this Land Speed Racing stuff. LOL
Hi Ron, You are right about our aging population in LandSpeed racing, BUT when I look at other forms of gr***roots racing, I think that we have have more younger blood a**** us than others. I really love it when I see racers under 40 wrenching on our type of cars. I will see you somewhere this year. Take care. Dave Gray 3611 56 Corvette
The Blonde ***** is loaded up and ready to go. I must have missed the gray hair requirement, but I'm sure I'll get there before I'm setting any records.
Jim (Runt) Miller is bring his record holding bike from NJ also. The weather is looking spectacular. It's about time! Dave
Dang it. We wont be in Pa until after memorial day. Sure would like to see the museum some time this summer when we are there. Was out at Bonneville a few years ago and had a great time. Saw some wild cars and met some " Interesting" people.
We dropped off the Belly Tanker and the Corvette last night at the Museum. They looked very interesting places a**** the Sprint cars and other circle track cars. We are looking forward to an interesting meeting on Sunday. Please come join us if you are in the area. Dave # 3611 56 Corvette
