I got a 1931 Chevrolet two door sedan, it was an old hot rod. I am redoing a lot of the cobble. I am looking for some pics of old school builds, all I find is high end stuff, any one in their picture collections have full fendered low slung rods. Also I am using a six inch dropped axle with two inch dearched springs., I would like to lower it another couple of inches, any thoughts the springs kinda stop it from going any lower. C Notch?

You using a Ford Axle or the GM axle with dual leafs?

You have alot of drop already if that is for the front end.

Kerry swapped the axle over the leafs for a couple inches but since you have a 6" drop axle I fear your scrub line will interfere.

Could try putting a Hemi in there. the extra coupe hundred pounds might lower it a bit haha!

Its got a speedway dropped tube, 54 chev spindles and brakes, two inch dearched springs all rebuilt. I am just used to model A's they can go a bit lower. I wanted it to sit like my last car.

It's tough to get a '31-'32 Chevy real low in the front because of the arch of the fender. You have to lave a little room (about 2-3 inches from the crown) for suspension travel.

The red one is low, I wonder how its so low with stock springs up front? I like the stance.

Looks like a 4 bar and a dropped Ford beam

I tried to get my 31 Chevy roadster low for a year trying all kinds of combinations with the semi elliptic springs. I even tried a 7" dropped axle.
I've gone to a 6" with a reversed eye spring over the axle, still not as low as I want and unless I go to 17" rims, scrub line is a joke
If you're going to run with fenders, I would think the only way to get it down is IFS. I'm not running fenders and an IFS, for the most part, looks funky on a fenderless car

I would like to put disc brakes on my 31 chev sedan. Using the original straight axle anyone know which spindle fits this application!

ECI Brakes also sells a Disc Conversion kit for about 280$. I used it on my '31 Chevy. The '31 in my Avatar has a 3" Dropped Axle from Sid.
