Technical Anyone got an Early 1949 Cadillac 331 valve cover with the 2 bolts in the center?

The EARLY 1949 Cadillac 331's came with 2 bolt valve covers and then later went to 4 perimeter bolts. Anyone have an early valve cover they could measure the center to center spacing of the 2 bolts? I'm trying to identify some valve covers I got...mine are 10 3/16" center to center bolt spacing. Thanks. Larry

 

Not saying it didn't happen, just never seen one in fifty years. Is your cover aftermarket or OEM?

Show us some pics. Most likely going to turn out to be Stude, Olds or Y-block.

I have an early 49 cad engine with no valve covers. I can measure the spacing between the two center bolts tomorrow

Since you were so polite I went to the shop and measured just now. 14" centerline between 2 bolts

 

thanksabunch man... that rules out Caddy's.
