Customs 54 Chevy wheel size?

I've searched like crazy. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. In any case, I'm trying to find what the best size wheel would be. 15x5,6 or 7 for my 54 Bel Air. I plan on running radial white walls. I want to make sure they don't rub. At this point, the suspension is all stock. I will be stepping the a-arms and possibly cut a coil or two. Thanks in advance guys. had 15x7 on mine with 235 60 tire

 

Any rubbing in the front while turning?

 

no rubbing but wasn't lowered

 

On the front of mine im running a 205/70-15 and on the rear 225/70-15 if you plan on running fender skirts these rears are to wide im going to put 205/75-15 on the back this summer so I can run skirts.

i had fender skirts to and they didnt fit with the 235s

 

Stock size is 15x5. I had some 15x6 at one point up front off a 70s Monte Carlo and they were very close to rubbing on the outer tie rod. They would rub on hard turns. Don't know if tightening the bearings would have helped.

I would pay closer attention to offset than width.
