These were advertised on craigslist as "best offer by Sunday gets them". I emailed in an offer of what I would pay (very fair) and the next day I received a phone call stating that if I was willing to pay that kind of money for them, come and get them. I knew my brother wanted a 32-34 pickup, and I could see they looked pretty decent so we drove 400 miles one way to get em.
The story is, a gentleman bought these in 1956 and was going to restore them later in life but it never happened. He p***ed away late last year and his wife wanted them gone. One was missing the engine, trans and rear end but very decent shape, the other is mostly complete but has some rust. My brother bought the less complete one, the complete one will be going up for sale soon. Neat old trucks, now my dad, brother and I all own 33-34 pickups!!

This is the one my brother bought. We put a rear end under it and put the front sheet metal on it. He washed it up and it looks great. Will be a neat lil hotrod!

When I saw that first picture I swore it was a painting.......just had that look to it, then I realized it was really a picture. :) Great scores.

Wow, so thats what rear fenders look like. I wish mine would have been in that condition when I go it.
You must be psychic to be able to find all these things constantly.

Yeah, that is just from washing it with soap and water. We are going to try and get the primer off the best we can.

  18. Chris, I'll message you but keep me in mind when you're ready to sell the other truck.

Fyi, that model A frame I picked up from you is working out great, body is getting mounted this weekend.

Yeah, it has hydraulic brakes, sealed beam headlights and a 59AB. I wouldn't call it a hot rod, more of an upgrade. Neat old truck, tucked away and forgotten about.

I know a lot of you are amazed by what Chris comes up with, but it's not like he has some secret network of Ford owners that only sell cars to him....

A lot of the stuff I see him buy is found on our local Craigslists, The difference between Chris and all you "so jealous" "why can't I" posters. Is that he has the desire and pulls the trigger. He puts the time in to search for them....that's the real key. Everyone just hopes that one of these will fall in his hands...Chris goes out and makes it happen.

I saw these trucks,( I've also seen some of the other things he has bought for sale too) I thought about making an offer.....and what it really came down to is... where the **** am I going to put 2 more trucks?

I'm glad Chris got them too, He obviously works hard to support his habit, and it's well deserved.

If you want it bad enough, you make it happen. That's exactly what Chris does and he deserves it.

    Good job dude!

put me in line for a A roadster ;)

Cool look with the wide 5s up front on the white(?) one.

They both look super solid though. I wish my 34 bed was that straight...
