Hey does anybody know where you can still get those cheap 60's looking vinyl seat covers you use to see back in the day? I'm sure you guys will know what I'm talking about.... Looking for a cheap way to cover the bench seat in my car until I can afford to do it right

Try your local big box auto part stores. Advance did carry universal fit covers in stock. Pep Boys and Autozone may do the same. At least it will keep you from tying on Mexican Blankets. Jeff

I have had no luck in finding ones for a split back front seat, except for ones that use zippers to shorten or extend cover - don't work good - that I found at amazon.com. Pep Boys does have some for truck bench seats, I will try one of those and not worry about a split seat for now. old cars have longer seats than most newer cars.

I went down to local fbric store, found some decent material in the bargain bin, bought some hog rings and threw it on my seats for now. Three rows of seats for under $50.

  14. Does anyone remember the name of the company JC Whitney used to farm out their heat-sealed "Pleated" vinyl covers to?

They had a pair of Scissors in the logo.

I've used them in the past but can't seem to find them.

Good quality and affordable on a budget.

    Thanks!

I recently looked for one at Whitney for a70's truck. I think it said something like limited to stock on hand, like there were no more. I could be wrong it was a few months ago.

A upholstery shop I used to work at had a couple rolls of that 50s/60s seat cover material that we never used and I had no desire to use at the time but now wishing I would have grabbed the rolls, went back a couple years ago and they got tossed in the trash.
