Maverick V-8 rear end width?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 26Tudor, Nov 18, 2005.

  1. I know that the rear end I want to use on my T Tudor C-dan is the Maverick V-8, it's the skinny (narrow) one with 5 bolt axles. My question is, what is the distance, from backing plate to backing plate? If it's 50 inches, cool, I just found one for free 8=)

  4. Shit. I thought I posted this on the general forum. Dammit. I wonder if one of the moderaters can move this? I don't want to start another thread on the right forum, and find this one moved over, as well.... Dammit....

  5. I just put one in my Ranchero, its somewhere between 51 and 52, hard to measure with the pumpkin in the way....but definitely no more than 52"

  6. Thanks, Sodas38 and FlyinEye, that answers my question. I guess I better head on over and get that thing before the guy changes his mind...

Also there are some 8" ford maverick/comet rear ends with 4 bolt pattern instead of the 5 bolt ones........
