I could be wrong but I think Dupli Color has an engine paint for the Blue Flame Six?? Not sure of the code but I seem to recall seeing it in their selections at either O'Reily's or Napa.

Man - I like those engine mounts. Great design...simple yet very effective. NICE!

I've long considered putting a modern big 6 in my Plymouth, but I don't have any experience with the large sixes.

Is the 300 inch Ford 6 engine worthwhile? I don't have clue there.

The 265 MOPAR slant 6 is a killer. In Australia there was a stock version with 3 side draft Webers that surpassed the HP of many V8s. There are sites dedicated to it's use. The Ford 300 is a strong engine but not MOPAR. There is a 258 CI Dodge flathead that is nearly a bolt in for you.

    I've never even seen a 265 slant 6. Is this a bored 225?

Frankly, as a hot rodder, I don't understand the concept of "keeping it all Mopar."

The idea I've had, since I started reading Dad's Hot Rod magazines in 1964, was that you run the hottest gear you can manage to stuff in (and afford); and if you were putting Hemis in a Mercury or Chevy's in a Ford, or Cadillacs in a Stude, it wasn't frowned upon, but was about the most celebrated part of building them.

    Color Me Confused.

How about a '29 Model A Roadster with a 292" Chevy and Powerglide? My brother Rog built the frame and shoehorned the engine in to keep everything the stock dimensions. I finished it up this winter and am sorting it out now. It runs great. I love Model A Roadsters and Chevy 6s so its the best of both worlds for me!

I guess we won't see one. They were an Australian only engine.

High carb diet and split manifold. :D

  19. Who cares, if it's a engine of some sort powering it is that's all that's matters?
I have a 66 mustang 200ci with Aussie stromberg single 1v with headers that I love and I have a parts collection of Model A parts to build a banger, but as long as my body is NOT powering it I am happy :)
A current basic build of a A banger would have triple the power of something build 50 years ago so JUST ENJOY now :)

What exactly do you mean by a "High carb diet"? a 4 barrel, 2 one barrels, 3 one barrels?.......I've checked into all of them but cant make any decisions...

Straight 6 here in my 1960 Falcon. Completely stock. I plan to change out the distributor and the carb sometime down the road.

Here's a set I'm going to use on the Frenchtown Family Truckster to replace a 4-barrel:

    Guys and Gals,

Listen to Frenchtown when he's talking about inlines. I've known him for a number of years , met him, and he lives, breathes and knows his stuff. He can make the most from an inline Ford. He just might be the new "Wayne-Horning" Yoda of Inline Fords!
