Hi, while looking for a 53-66 Corvette I bought a barn find T-Bird with 51,000.

Car is stick shift, hardtop only. Custom interior done in the early 60's

Car has been off the road since 1976

Should the Bird be fluffed up as is or allow someone to restore car.

I find the word "restored" hatefull & vote for fluff car as is. What do you think?

    Thanks Bob

Are you keeping it, or planning to flip it? If the plan is to keep it, then I'd clean it up and not change anything. As is often sais, they're only original once. Lots of restored Tbirds around, so doing another wont make it worth the extra cost.

I'd leave it as is, but I am a ****er for time capsules.

Restored is a highly abused term. Very few cars are properly "restored" and many should be left as is to preserve their originality in my opinion. I like your idea of a fluff only.

  10. Sweet. I'd just clean & leave as is. Engine?

I vote to fluff as well. Now the seat may break your heart. Like you clean it carefully and it looks *****in for a year and then the vinyl starts to tear at the s***ching. Happened to me and no way to stop it. But with some fresh matching carpet and a new cover for the trunk key lock and a thorough cleaning it's a creampuff for sure. Engine pix?
