The Buffalo knockoffs arrived, adding parts to the pile is progress. Need two for the LEFT side, any style, and I've got a full set. I kind of like the used and abused look. Wonder if a faux finish on the whole car would be the way to go? Happy New Year to everyone! Bob

You know me Bob. You don't need money just bring parts that you don't need.

So I am going through a stack of "Vintage Ford" magazines from a friend and low and behold I see an ad from 1980 from Bob selling his first speedster & some other stuff. $3,250 I think - seems like it would have been a fair deal, Bob! :D

Your current one though, will benefit from another 35 years of skills and experience, which can't be bad!! Catch you at the Cider Mill meet Bob!

That Speedster sale paid for my two garage doors, and maybe some other construction materials. I don't want to think what it would be worth today. Four 20 inch lock ring Buffalo wheels with hubs and an original spair tire carrier, dropped T front axle, Ruxtell rear on a 26-27 housings. LAUREL overhead with two br*** carbs. This engine was in a race boat on Cape Cod, bought it from the original builder/racer. Original Br*** T radiator. Ch***is and front axle was in finished black enamel. I sure wouldn't mind having it back. Bob

  11. Bob, do you have a pic of your earlier speedster?

^^^^ Thanks Bill! I did take a photo of an A ch***is that had the rear subrail section I'll be using on my '30 project with an 8-10 inch diameter tree growing through it. It came from the estate of a friend that never got to it. Bob

  15. That's been sitting so long that it grew roots AND a couple of cylinders :D

Hey Bob, Sorry I have never got back to you on the frame kick ups. I had a call for some Rodder's Journals that I have for sale today from a guy in your neck of the woods, and it rang my monkey skull long enough to check with El Polacko (Industrial Ch***is, 602 278-6800) to see if my cutting patterns were still on file at his joint... They are! so rather than screw around further, just hit him with a P.M. and he can cut some up for you. sorry it took so long, I just have been at a dead run since about December.

Hope fully those in hand might get you back to rollin' again. Oh, he has the front cross member tops I designed too.

Now that the HAMB is back up and running I have to add an update to this project. I did real well at Rhinebeck, N. Y. and the Bristol Ct. CSRA swap meets. Found a real nice radiator shell, hood, Low STEEL firewall, a coil box, firewall brackets and a box of other odds and ends. T stuff was all over and priced very reasonably. I couldn't help buying stuff I really didn't need, but I can flip it to offset what I spent on the keeper stuff. I'll mock up what I have and post some photos tomorrow. Bob

Thanks again for getting me back on the HAMB! I'm off to the local weekly fleamarket, I'll mock up the speedster when I get back and post photos. This is my Riley 4Port that I did finish back in 1975 with a Caddy gas cap. It is is somewere in California now. Bob

Thanks Mac! I'd forgotten about this thread I started way back when. Should have a low firewall and headlight brackets in a few days thanks to "That Auction Site". Major shuffle in the ba*****t to get a new oil burner in and installed, I've uncovered a lot of parts for all the projects, plus stuff to sell. I may even wind up with a spot to mock up the Speedster. Bob

Thanks for reminding me guys that I started this thread! Just last week I found one of the shocks and spent some time with a can of Kroil and a wrench and got it apart. Need to make a kickup pattern I like the looks of and cut the ones I bought at the LARS years ago to fit. Bob DSCF8362.JPG DSCF8359.JPG . Bob

A few years ago I wanted a 1911 Hupmobile, so I parted with the Buffalo hub parts, and other odds & ends. Found a Right front and cap at Hershey 2021. Need a Left front, both rears and the caps and four wheels and I have a roller!
