I kept it after he went with a mopar 8 3/4. Was going to use it for a future project, but its just to narrow for anything I have planned. its only a one tire fryer but does have a set of 5.13 gears i think. don't hold me to that though.
dang, i love that thing except where the grill meets the hood. but other than that it looks pretty interesting.
I think you're right - all the little details seem to me the same - just repainted with a high-rise manifold throught the hood. BTW: I've had one of these in the back of my brain for a while now... maybe metallic brown, and call it "The Swedish Meatball".
Hopefully Brandon will see this and help out. This car is/was owned by Tommy Shaw in Iowa who also had a cool Austin body/project. He was pretty active on the Gas/FX list, but I dropped off that group for a while and I don't know where he is now. Here's another shot of Tommy's car on Byron Stack's most excelent G***er Madness site.
My friend who is lurking on this site, has a 47' Volvo. I helped some on it, he started it about 15 years ago. It has a 350 chevy w/tunnel ram, munci 4-speed, 9" 4:56 gears, Goes real good.
Slight hijack- I've got a '64 544 I would like to sell. It's a project, not running. Comes with a parts car, either would make a good g***er! I know I should post a cl***ified, it just seems so obscure. Any interest?
well...to move it a little farther away, anyone got a SAAB 93, that they want removed from thier site, cause i will gladly do it.
Hey Mike, where did you get that 3rd pic? That's my street race (58 Anglia) car at OCIR during the week when we used to rent the track to tune for the weekends street racing (circa 1980?). Did i post that before, or what?
