Hi Guys, I need some help from someone in or near Lebanon Pa. I have a fellow there who is wiling to sell me a 31 model A hood for a decent price but is unwilling to put any effort into packaging it and seeing what it will cost to ship it to me. I have sent two doors to Minn. Had a 9 inch sent to me her win NC from PA. I can't see that shipping a model A hood would be all that difficult or expensive. I am looking for someone to pick this thing up, package it up, and get me a cost to ship it to me. I am willing to compensate anyone for time and materials if I can get someone to help. About $35 to ship. I'm trying to sell a '32 hood and I checked out the shipping cost. They weigh about the same.
Even that helps as the guy is saying he has no time to do it and it will be a $100 to ship it. I think he is just trying to squeeze me for more money as he agreed to sell it to me for less than his asking price and now is tap dancing.
Terry48435 can you tell me the weight and what the outside dimensions would be folded up so I can see if I can get a quote from UPS or FEDex. Thanks.

My '32 hood is 24"x33"x 3&1/2". That's figuring you reverse one side and turn it upside down for minimum height. The hood would have to be in two pieces, otherwise you have about 7" in height. My hood weighs about 23 lbs. I've included pics of my hood. Hope this helps.
Terry thanks for the additional info! I am checking in with Mac the Yankee on his possibly picking the hood up for me, which would just be the bees knees! If that falls through at least I have the info I need to get an estimate on shipping. Thanks!
