Technical Vintage Drag chutes

Okay having a hard time trying to look for a vintage chute for my 35 willys panel gasser project. Looking for a name or names of vintage chutes that I can scan the classfieds on or ebay. I did a search but did not find what I was lookng for in old threads. Or does anybody know anybody reproduceing them? Looking for something big like on the back of the Dogcatcher

 

Just wanting something that looked period correct, besides the one on the dogcatcher, what else did some look like in that era?

 

I had an old Air Force ring slot chute I packed in some fighter jet sit on cushion/chute pack. All surplus stuff. No catalog involved. Mine looked like the one in your picture. About a year ago I gave it to a guy building an "A" pickup.

 

Deist is now part of DJ Safety and is there nostalgia arm for period correct items. They are a small company willing to make what you need.
They reproduced this SIMPSON dual chute pack for a restoration project for me. give them a call

There was a guy on Ebay selling surplus 16' ring slot chutes. I picked up a couple for my digger for cheap. Sewed my own chute pack.

 

This is what I am looking for? Anybody have one they want to sell?

DJ also made the one for the IVO car, just send them the plate(size you want) and the pic

 

So you are just looking for a chute pack or do you want a chute as well? For reference here's what my ring slot and home made chute pack looks like.

So how much you gonna make me a chute pack for

I want to find a pack first before I buy a chute. Seen chutes on ebay, just night the right packs. Since Im new to chutes, what atr the packs made off? The pack I have is kind of old. Not sure of material.

 

Any more old decals Muttley?
