Hard to believe a hood can hide this much hardware... It really tones the car down and makes it look more 40's...

FYI - Rachel & Gene will be signing canvas prints matted to 24" x 30" at the Detroit Autorama... six were made, I'm keeping one, two will be for sale, one will be sold or auctioned by Singlefinger Speed Shop for "Save the Salt" and one will be auctioned in the pin stripper's auction for charity... We are working on having 8x10" photos and possibly laminated 11x17" garage art posters for (set minimum) donations to "Save the Salt" All donations - 100% (not profit or percentage) will go to "Save the Salt"

Well, I guess this is the final... Singlefinger loved the logo credit... but, since it is a Save the Salt fund raiser Larry suggested we should have thier logo on it...

Am I bad or what... waiting for the hood to be louvered and final ***embly... we finish up and in the "load mode" and I didn't snap a shot of the hood... I guess you will have to come to Detroit Autorama or wait a week for updates... I'm not much on shows but I can say it is motivating... anyways, its loaded and we head out in the morning... I did snap this shot

    Howdy!

Damn it's lookin' good! Sorry to cut our talk short the other evening, but there was company to attend too and scotch to be drunk. Hope you understand.

The more important question in all of this is - Where do you find all of these gorgeous women to pose with your cars? Well done sir!

Wow... after my first full nights sleep in a week, all I can say is it was very rewarding... the roadster was well recieved and although I wasn't with the car a lot, I still met some folks that had an interest in the car and had a chance to put faces with HAMB names...

Saturday the roadster recieved the "George Poteet Celebrity Pick" which amazed me since its not a finished car (its not like hubcaps where you can't see both sides - drivers side only exhaust was obvious)...

Sunday the roadster recieved the "Detroit Autorama Extreme - Under Construction" award... when I think back to the humble beginnings of a $5 Halibrand rearend, $150 neglected but well preserved race body, my buddy's racing 312 built in 62, the help of friends and collection of parts that seemed to find thier way to the car... I feel extremely honored!

The advantage of getting the roadster out in the open is you get a visual perspective of how the the car looks...

One of these days I'll have to get back to do***enting Carey's progress... but, as photos from Autorama keep popping up... I just want to share... since I'm usually on the other side of the camera its kinda neat that I have shots being sent to me with my car... here is one from Wall.E Photo

and one of my favorites from Bill McGuire Mac's Motor City Garage.com

and this is almost a cartoonish look from MyRideisMe.com

I was glad to have the opportunity to see the roadster at a distance and I wanted to see it in the outdoors... so, I took the shot from Autorama and played with the background... even though it doesn't look realistic as I would like, I thought I'd share...

I wish... Carey un-chopped the Ohio Georges's G***er P***er and will be starting up on it again soon... It really isn't that far from being finished... finish the other header, paint, brake lines, wiring... Plan is for it to be finished this year...

how can you not have this on the road and driving? IT IS PERFECT!

I would have never thought of putting the elements you have used, together, but seeing it I can't think of a way to improve it. (apart from a rego sticker and plates)
