Hi, there is a 55/56 (not sure) caddy with a 331 for sale and i been wondering, could i put a 57 short bed on top of that frame/engine?, the wheelbase it's not that different, it will shurely require some modifications I'll take any sugestions..
I suggest you could put the engine and transmission into the truck frame, it would be easier and would work better.
The thing is i already have a 57 bod without frame and i been thinkin maybe if i buy the caddy i could use that one
You might be able to. The frames on both are mostly flat, although the car frame will rise up too far over the rear axle, so you will probably need to cut out the middle of the bed floor to clear it. I suggest you measure the width of the Cadillac first, to make sure the tires will fit under the truck fenders.
