TECH: TransDapt adapter numbers

here is how you used to be able to do engine swaps, up until the early 70s or thereabouts--just call up TransDapt and order a bellhousing to fit any engine and any manual transmission! The adapter part number consists of two letters and the number. The letters match the engine, the numbers match the trans.

Thanks to ****gy for bumping this ancient thread back up. I never knew there was a chart. Good info from Squirrel.

 

With today's technology, I would think anything possible to be duplicated (I think of the copier/printer from Jay Leno's Garage that makes 3D results) would this/ could this be a possible project on a low volume production?
